FA7915 is designed to meet the need for a high formable material suitable for headers and plates. In addition the material exhibits a high post-braze strength, crucial for the product performance. With the addition of titanium the product also shows a very good corrosion resistance, and the material easily exceeds a corrosion test of 60 days in SWAAT without perforations.

FA7915 exhibits excellent corrosion performance with lateral corrosion behavior in SWAAT (ASTM G85). The corrosion attack is proceeding horizontally and prolonging the time to perforation. The addition of titanium improves the corrosion behavior of the bulk material by hindering pitting corrosion.

The post-brazed particle- and grain structures show excellent brazeability characteristics with no evidence of excessive filler metal penetration or liquid film migration into the FA7915 core alloy.
