Gränges’ focus on sustainability opens up career opportunities

Last week, Gränges attended Sweden's largest student-run career fair - The Armada, at the Royal Institute of technology, KTH in Stockholm. During two days, we met with students from around the world, curious about us and what opportunities we could offer them.

In the booth there were a lot of talks about the future of electrification, sustainability and of course AI. The opportunities to write a master's thesis, summer jobs, and what opportunities lie ahead after graduation.

It was at the Armada that Simon Bergfors’ career at Gränges started.

"When I first encountered Gränges, I could never have imagined that it would lead me to a job as a process development engineer at the company today. It all started when I was a student. I stopped by Gränges Booth at the Armada, an annual career fair at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). There I met one of the engineers, who later would become my supervisor for my master's thesis, and that was the beginning of the journey", says Simon Bergfors.

Gränges has been around since 1896, today a known producer of rolled aluminium adding battery foil to the product portfolio, and opening opportunities for you to be a part of the future of electrification.

"We continuously work with innovation and search for new colleagues that can help us develop our operations. What I appreciate with Gränges is that you become an important part of the team from day one. Being part of a diverse team, with colleagues that has a long experience from the industry, and from all over the world. As an employee at Gränges, you will contribute to the transition to a sustainable electrified society", says Kristina Boo Development Director Battery Foil.

Gränges' climate target to reach net zero 2040 seems to attract young talents wo wants to be a part of shaping the future.

"The number of questions we received about Gränge's sustainability ambitions really proved how important sustainability is when young talents choose where to work. I felt proud talking about how sustainability is at the very core of our business", says Johanna Eriksson, Sustainability Controller, Gränges group.

"At Gränges our people are the minds behind every customer success story. With extensive technical expertise within the aluminium industry, we help customers around the world to do better, grow faster and be more sustainable. We have a better future in mind in everything we do, and if you share the same passion you have come to the right place", says Annika Gustavsson, HR generalist, Gränges Finspång.
